Farmer Market Saturdays in Ave Maria
Ave Maria’s Farmers Market is a weekly tradition that the community enjoys each season, from November through April. Sponsored by SW Florida Markets LLC, the market is centrally located in the Town Center every Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The farmers market offers both residents and visitors a large selection of fresh locally grown produce and citrus, fresh seafood, Italian breads, local honey, soaps, candles, oils, jewelry, crafts, flowers, hats, handbags, clothing and more. A few favorites from the first market included Naples Breads and Pastries and Golden R. Farms. Naples Breads and Pastries foundation is from Naples, but offers fresh baked bread and pastries every week in Ave Maria. Golden R. Farms displayed and sold their grape jelly, strawberry, blackberry, and Christmas jam, and dog treats. Many visitors posted their delight on social media including this happy customer, “These vendors were so nice! Love that they use organic products. They had pet treats, as well!
Shopping at the farmers market is a great way to plan your Thanksgiving week meals and support local vendors at the same time. Pick up some fresh red and yellow bell peppers and whip up this tasty leftover turkey stuffed pepper dish. Perfect for watching those college football games the weekend after the holiday.
Farmer markets are just one of the ways Ave Maria creates a community within the town. The market brings people together in the beautiful backdrop of Ave Maria on sunny Saturday mornings.

AVE MARIA NAMED COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR
AT 2018 CBIA SAND DOLLAR AWARDS
NAPLES, FL., — October 1, 2018 – Ave Maria, Florida is the recipient of the prestigious Community of the Year award given annually by the Collier Building Industry Association. This is the fourth consecutive year that Ave Maria has won the award for the under $500,000 Category. The independent panel of judges for Community of the Year ranked Collier County communities on various criteria including quality of the design for the overall amenity package, recreation provided (including clubhouse, golf and tennis facilities and pool areas) and outdoor use amenities (such as paths, gazebos, sculptures, etc. that add to the quality of the community).
“Receiving this award four years in a row is a testament to the thriving community and amenity package within Ave Maria,” states Cee Cee Marinelli, director of development for Ave Maria Development. “Ave Maria remains the top-selling new home community in Southwest Florida and we believe its success is evident in the large numbers of new professionals, families and active adults moving into our community every day.”

Living the American Dream – Home Ownership in Ave Maria
Owning a home has many far-reaching benefits that outweigh the immediate ease of renting. Oftentimes renters don’t believe they can qualify to purchase a new home whether because of inadequate credit score, insufficient down payment funds, or lack of knowledge of the real estate market. Educating renters on how-to successfully navigate a path to new home ownership is available through the sales center representatives in Ave Maria, Florida.
First, home owners build equity instead of burning through cash. Each month you make a mortgage payment, a portion of that payment goes toward reducing the amount you owe on your loan, thereby increasing your equity. As your home increase in value, your equity increases. Renters do not experience this advantage with monthly rental payments going directly to a landlord or leasing company. If the apartment increases in value, and perhaps monthly rents increase, the renter does not realize any benefit but instead ends up paying more in rent. Your monthly mortgage payment is more stable and predictable when based on a fixed-rate mortgage while rent payments can increase subject to the landlord.
Secondly, mortgage interest and property tax payments may be deductible from federal taxes and state taxes. In the state of Florida, you can deduct your property taxes each year with a cap up to $10,000. This is a great savings on your taxes. You can also enjoy renewable energy tax credits up to 30% of the costs of approved major energy installations. To learn more about these energy efficient products please visit Energy Star website.
Building a strong credit history is another benefit of responsible home ownership. When you consistently make your monthly mortgage payments on time, lenders will see that you are a good borrower and your credit history will strengthen. This will help when applying for future loans including car loans or home improvements.
Builders in Ave Maria support the path to home ownership and throughout the year may offer incentives and assistance to new home buyers. Contact the builder sales representatives to learn more about what special offers are going on now.
Home ownership is part of the American dream for many and living in Ave Maria with all its conveniences and amenities further expands that dream to include an incredible lifestyle for families and retirees. On-site events, town center, lifestyle director, and so much more all add up to a dream come true.
