Chris plays lead guitar for Steinbeck Way, Ave Maria’s very own rock and roll sensation. “When we moved here and hit the reset button, I knew I wanted to start a band. I’ve been in bands my whole life, Jack (lead singer) has been in a few, Glenn was a professional drummer—touring and studio, Drew (bass) played the 90s punk scene, and Mitzi (singer and keyboard) is our newbie…though she sang in church and karaoke. Jack, Drew, and I all lived on Steinbeck Way, so the name came pretty naturally.”
We can’t think of a better big kind of small town story, than putting a band together and finding a great following all within a few blocks.
Or, as Chris says, “Doing what you love in a place you love. What could be better than that?”
