AVE MARIA WATER TREATMENT FACILITY RECEIVES EXCELLENCE AWARD FROM FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
NAPLES, FL., — January 28, 2014 —The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) has selected Ave Maria Water Treatment Facility to receive the 2013 Plant Operations Excellence Award. Ave Maria Utility Company (AMUC) competed in the South District small community water system category. The small community districts totaling less than 3,300 customers include districts from Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hendry, Highlands, Lee, Monroe and Sarasota counties.
“Ave Maria Utility Company consistently implements best practices at our facility, ensuring top quality water to our 2,000 residents in Ave Maria,” commented Jason Vogel, project manager for Ave Maria Utility Company.
Ave Maria is located at the intersection of Oil Well and Camp Keais Roads in eastern Collier County. The main entrance, on Oil Well just west of Camp Keais, leads to the Town Center.
