How to Keep Your Kids Busy during Summer
July 6, 2016
For some of us, summer means a break from work, from the alarm clock, and from your hometown. We like to travel, enjoy relaxing evenings with friends and more daylight. It can also mean entertaining the kids- every day! Prevent the stress of keeping your kids busy during summer before it happens. It’s not too late to start.
Purchase or print a summer calendar and categorize your activities by day. For example, Mondays can be spent outdoors, Tuesdays could be water-related fun whether at home or at a park, Wednesdays can be indoor arts and crafts, Thursdays might be cooking/baking days, and Fridays welcome movies and board games. Once you have your activity outline in place, then you can work on tackling the details. For example, if Thursday is cooking day, search for a recipe online that is easy to do with the kids. These are our favorite recipes. Gather your items at a low cost by shopping at the local Dollar Corner. Ave Maria’s Dollar Corner is located conveniently in the Town Center. Fun doesn’t have to be expensive. Fun can be free! Check out these fun things to do for free.
