Ready…Set…Labor Day!

With Labor Day right around the corner we thought we would share what’s happening in Ave Maria. Labor Day traditionally marks the end of summer, but we are fortunate to enjoy warm sunshine and tropical weather year-round in our Southwest Florida location.

Residents here kick off the long weekend with a Beach Walk and Breakfast for anyone living in Del Webb Naples neighborhood. Afternoons and evenings can be spent at happy hour at the Ave Maria Pub & Grill located in the Town Center or with homemade pizza and pasta specials at Gino’s Trattoria.

Spending Saturday and Sunday in one of the on-site parks in Ave Maria tires out the little ones and certainly logs steps on the fitness tracker for mom and dad. A friendly competition between friends on the baseball field in North Park is a great way to meet residents from other neighborhoods within Ave Maria. Parents gather at the tot lot playground and soccer fields at North Park too. What better way to enjoy a holiday weekend than at your very own water park! A resident only Pre-Labor Day Celebration at the Ave Maria Water Park will be held Saturday, September 1st from 11am to 2pm with live deejay, food specials, and activities. University students in Ave Maria can attend the Ave Maria University Gyrenes women’s soccer team match against Trinity Baptist at 3pm on Saturday, September 1st.

Our very own Del Webb Naples’s lifestyle director has planned a S’more Fun Labor Day party on Monday at 5:30pm while the Rusty Putter restaurant at Panther Run Golf Club will host a Labor Day BBQ. Living in a Del Webb community has perks and benefits encouraging active adults to engage socially and physically. Whether it’s a yoga or water aerobics class or themed dinner and dance, there is always something to do at Del Webb Naples. Staying young both in body and mind is evident when you live in our Southwest Florida Del Webb Naples neighborhood.

The popularity of craft beer has certainly made its way to Ave Maria. Oil Well Craft Beer, located in the Park of Commerce, will feature open mic night on Friday, August 31 at 8pm and Naples Smoked BBQ from 6-9pm. The Ave Maria Pub & Grill also serves a wide variety of craft beer as well as delicious burgers, pizzas and salads.

With Ave Maria only 40 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Naples and just 70 miles from the hustle and bustle of Ft Lauderdale, a quick road trip is also a fun possibility for Labor Day weekend. Living in Ave Maria certainly has its benefits. Stop by our New Home & Welcome Center to learn more about the area’s most talked about new home town.

Ave Maria Residents Do Summer Right

Summer is here! Longer days. Kaleidoscope sunsets. Lazy mornings. Poolside fun. Outdoor barbeques. Backyard fireworks. Ave Maria’s lifestyle is perfect for those who want to take advantage of all the best that summer has to offer.

Hands down the Ave Maria Water Park is the place to be during summer. The two waterslides are the most popular attraction along with the oversized interactive water playground. Hours of splashing for kids of all ages. Serious swimmers can practice their strokes in the lap pool and relax sore muscles in the spa. A volleyball game in the pool or on the sand? Sure! We’ve got them both. The concession stand provides snacks and drinks when you’re ready for a break from the pool. This outdoor water recreation center is one of the most popular amenities in Ave Maria.

While a round of golf is a favorite in Florida year-round, summertime is a great time to take in 9-holes during a late afternoon followed by a round of drinks at Del Webb Naples’ Panther Run Golf Club and the Rusty Putter. With a menu that includes breakfast, lunch and early evening bar bites, golfers can kick back and order their favorite pre- or post- game meal. A billiard table and outdoor patio bar are great for spending time with friends too.

Got kids? Ave Maria is home to several fun summer events right here in town. For the preschoolers, story time is held every Wednesday morning while older kids can join the Mind Benders Club every Friday. High School Game Night, Aqua Aerobics, and Ice Cream Socials are held all summer for teens and kids.
A community-wide July 4th celebration is held at the Water Park every year. All day fun in the sun for families and active adults at this ultimate warm weather bash. Living in Ave Maria has its perks, all year long, with neighbors who become friends.
