Umami Ave Brings Southeast Asian Flavors to Ave Maria

NAPLES, FL., – February 11, 2026 — Midtown Plaza tenant Umami Ave announces its grand opening for Monday, February 16. Owned and operated by chef Jason Cao, the Southeast Asian fusion restaurant melts Vietnamese, Thai, Cambodian and Japanese flavors. The menu celebrates dishes from different regions of Southeast Asia to bring unique and balanced flavors to traditional items. “The name Umami is what my cooking is all about,” said Cao. “Every culture has a different flavor profile and Asian cuisine is all about Umami – that extra-savory part of a dish that leaves you deeply satisfied.”
Featured house favorites will include pho – a traditional Vietnamese soup, sushi rolls, Pad Kra Pao which is a traditional Thai dish, and Japanese favorites like tataki tuna. Umami Ave is located in Midtown Plaza at 5360 Ave Maria Boulevard, Unit 102.
